In the United States, efforts to end African-American oppression have failed. The political cartoon displays cruel punishment carried out by mindless agents of powerful men to blacks. This depicts a system where racist leaders through enforcers abuse minorities into submission to their control. Furthermore, the cartoon's title is "Everything's the same...Except the Labels" and shows two sets of men representing the past and present with different labels. This conveys the fact modern African-Americans are still subdued by tyrannical politicians (plantation owners in past) by their influence in the law and their wishes are carried out by the police. In the end, we Americans are no better than our ancestors who supported slavery or owned slaves.
